We started this blog to document the places we love and help others discover the amazing food, culture, and experiences that make Los Angeles such a special place to explore.
Our Story
Both raised in small towns outside of California, we moved to Los Angeles in 2000. Although we had traveled extensively over the years, we never found a place that truly felt like home until we arrived in LA. We quickly fell in love with the city — its people, diversity, incredible food, and vibrant mix of cultures. From the beaches and palm trees to the mountains and nearby desert, Los Angeles offers a landscape and lifestyle unlike anywhere else. Even after more than 20 years, we’re still completely smitten! There are endless places to explore here, and it often feels like you can travel the world without ever leaving the city thanks to its incredible international neighborhoods — from Little Tokyo and Thai Town to Little Armenia, Koreatown, and so many more. LA truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

We are a husband and wife real estate duo by day, and professional family explorers by night. Livin’ Local in Los Angeles is our way of sharing the hidden gems and vibrant culture of this fabulous city with you. Alongside our four children, we’re on a mission to uncover the most family friendly activities, culinary delights, and local insights that make LA truly feel like home.
